EXHIBITION SCHEDULE TO BE DETERMINED

Tentative Launch in Edmonton 2027/28

​

The schedule for the Canadian forest exhibition is not yet available.  We released the digital version of the book in late 2026 (see TFCG Book Tab), and we plan to launch the installation in Edmonton in the summer of 2027/28.  Other Canadian exhibition sites will then follow.

​

Below is a high-level summary of the TFCG project schedule:

  • Initial installation design (e.g., prototypes) and website/project launch (completed): 2018 to 2020

  • Planning and execution of National Meetup and Alberta Trips—500+ participants (completed): 2019 to 2026

  • Creation of trunk and ground cover images from National Meetup and Alberta Trips (completed): 2020 to 2026

  • Engagement with First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities, including meetups, interviews, photography and project collaboration: ongoing since 2021

  • Digital and print book release: late 2026 and early 2027 (see TFCG Book Tab) 

  • Finalization of installation themes and design: 2027/28

  • Government and corporate sponsorship outreach: 2027/28

  • Creation of exhibition and schedule: 2027/28

Events and Promotions

 

TFCG will appeal to all ages.  As we get closer to exhibition day, we will post all activities, specials, and promotions available during the show.  Here is a list of some of the events and promotions being considered for inclusion in the exhibition.  

 

Families

  • A special fantasy night for families.  Kids 10 and under dressed up as a fairy, elf or leprechaun (or another of their favourite characters) will be admitted free.  They might even meet one of the special people who live in The Forest.

  • A kids' zone where the little ones can learn, play and generally have fun in an interactive setting.  

 

Ticket Specials

  • Family Day: special admission pricing for families

  • Seniors Day: a discount for people 60+ years young

  • Date Night: we will team up with local restaurants to provide a romantic evening stroll through The Forest

  • Reduced Pricing During Evenings: Special pricing Monday thru Thursday evenings after 5 pm

  • Group Tickets: gather your friends and family together for a hike through The Forest.  Contact us to handle the details.  The larger the group, the larger the discount:

    • 20 to 100: 15% off

    • 101 to 200: 20% off

    • 201+: 25% off

  • Retail Partnerships: we will work with local retailers to offer special deals on tickets and The Forest merchandise tied to product purchases

  • Media partnerships: local media outlets will offer listeners the chance to win free admission tickets  

 

Treasure Hunt

We will partner with local sponsors and media to run a treasure hunt experience over the course of the exhibition.  New clues will be released periodically, culminating in one lucky person winning a unique art piece (value of $12,500+) created by Jon Havelock from TFCG images.
